COUNTY COUNCILLOR

Dear Resident,

It always amazes me how quickly a year flies by.
This year it just doesn't feel like Christmas for me yet but I guess the seasonal spirit will shed a glow after a few mince pies and a couple of glasses of mulled wine.

Hopefully I will see most of your Parish Christmas Parties but if not I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my fellow councillors and members of the community who volunteer so much of their time and efforts throughout the year in so many ways to benefit the whole community.

Thank you, we do appreciate you all very much .

A very Merry Christmas to each one of you out there, have a happy, prosperous new year and please, as always, don't hesitate to contact me anytime if you have any concerns.

Enjoy your festive season

Kind seasonal regards
Rosita
Your County Councillor

Free Travel For Youngsters

Rural transport specially at weekends and the evening has always been an issue in market towns and rural areas .

I am happy to announce that the County Council will be launching a new innovative transport scheme for young people who are registered to pay for school transport.

They will receive a £50 voucher to spend on taxis or buses anytime, anywhere over this summer.

I am pleased to have negotiated for Lutterworth youngsters to be included in this pilot scheme.

I sincerely hope that this new way of trying to provide tailor-made, more cost effective transport will be successful so a wider scheme can be rolled out in the very near future.

Regards

Rosita
County Councillor
