Financial Support / Grants to Local Groups

Lutterworth Improvement Project 2003-06

The Town Council, in conjunction with the District Council and Countryside Agency, has funded this partnership, which has been progressively addressing the town’s Health Check. The Partnership has attracted outside funding for many activities and resources such as street furniture and Christmas lights that would not have been available to local authorities. The Town Council maintain the day to day financial administration of the partnership.

Parish Community Support Officer 2005-08

The Town Council have agreed to half fund the provision of a Parish Community Support Officer for the next three years.

The PCSO is a very valuable asset to the town and (Mr Willson) meets regularly with Town Council officers and the Council to address problems that occur in the town.

It is hoped that, at the end of the three year trial period, the local Police Authority will be able to continue funding this post.

Citizens Advice Bureau and Lutterworth Museum
